NISSEI develops multi-color parts* molding machine

Nissei Plastic Industrial Co., Ltd. has developed an electric injection molding machine, "DCE60," which can mold multi-color* parts using resins with different colors. The machine intended for plastic parts makers permits batch molding of multi-color* parts of personal computers and mobile phones.
When a single-color molding machine is used, parts are combined or a printing process is adopted after molding to make multi-color* parts. Batch molding with the new machine can improve the durability of parts, leading to reduction in production cost as well. The mold clamping force is 60 tons. The machine is made to order. Nissei expects the annual sales of 50 machines.
* The term "multi-color" used in the newspaper should be replaced by "two-color, dissimilar material."
