Nissei Exhibits Two Models of Electric Injection Molding Machines at "Chinaplas 2002"
| April 2002 [News Release] |
Nissei Plastic Industrial Co., Ltd. will be exhibiting at "Chinaplas 2002" to be held in Shanghai from June 25, aiming at expansion of sales of its electric injection molding machines in the Chinese market. The company plans to exhibit two models: "Ultra High-Speed Electric Injection Molding Machine, ES200H" and "Electric Injection Molding Machine, ES1000".
China has now entered a full-scale economic growth period and is widely expected to be a huge consumer market in the future.
Based on the present situation in China, Nissei is planning to further expand the sales by disseminating the advantage of the company's electric injection molding machines among the users in the growing local plastic molding industry.
Outline of exhibiting machines
1. "Ultra High-Speed Electric Injection Molding Machine, ES200H"
This machine molds very small precision parts such as connectors at the world-fastest ultra high-speed of on the order of 0.6 second. The maximum clamping force is 196kN (20 tons).
The machine has actually materialized ultra high-speed two cavity molding of connectors at 0.58 second using liquid crystal polymers.
Especially the center-drive system, for which an AC servomotor is directly connected to a ball-screw, is used for each driving of both injection and mold clamping mechanisms. The machine achieves quick responses in both injection and mold clamping mechanisms, high-speed plasticization/kneading, high-speed injection, and simultaneous operation of various movements.
The injection mechanism, loaded with a special screw and plasticization equipment to work with engineering plastics for ultra high-speed molding use, permits stable plasticization and kneading under precision injection pressure control and back pressure control.
A high-rigidity and high-precision toggle system has been adopted in the mold clamping mechanism. The high-rigidity movable platen, stationary platen, and machine bed frame hold down vibration, permitting ultra high-cycle operation.
Main features of this machine are: (1) The machine materializes the injection speed of 350 mm/sec and injection response speed of 0.015 second. (2) Simultaneous operation such as injection during mold clamping, mold pressure decompression while cooling, mold opening/closing during metering, ejection during mold opening and ejection backward during mold closing. (3) To speed-up moving speed of mold opening/closing cross-head. (4) The machine could achieve ultra high-speed molding, improving the performance such as ejection speed and others.
In addition, this machine is designed to prevent noise and vibration caused by ultra high-speed molding.
The machine is mounted with a controller, the NC9300T.
The exhibited machine will demonstrates ultra high-cycle at 0.63 seconds/shot for clamping force 147kN (15 tons), two cavity molding of connectors using LCP as the molding material.
2. "Electric Injection Molding Machine, ES1000"
Nissei, which developed the world-first electric molding machines, materialized precision stable molding, high cycle molding and power saving molding with our original advanced technologies. This machine has a clamping force of 784kN (80 tons) in the "ELJECT ES Series" which has been favorably received by users.
The exhibited machine is mounted with an internal mold processing system.
This internal mold processing system conducts internal mold processing of molded products by means of directly injecting material into a cavity using ejector rod for product-ejecting use during filling or immediately after filling of resin. Thereby permitting high quality of products, high cycle and energy saving molding. Reduction of total cost in molding could be materialized.
The exhibited machine is scheduled to demonstrate eight cavity molding of front panel frames for mobile phones using PC/ABS alloy as the molding material.
