Nissei develops a compact precision injection molding machine for precision stable molding use for which greater importance is attached to cost performance.

Nissei Plastic Industrial Co., Ltd. has recently developed a compact precision injection molding machine, "NP7 Real Mini," of which selling points are high-precision stable molding of ultra small parts with reasonable price. The company will begin to sell the product at overseas markets from April.
This machine is a hydraulic type compact precision molding machine of an in-line screw system with a mold clamping force of 69 kN (7 tons). It has been developed for high-precision stable molding of ultra small parts, and greater importance is attached to cost performance and compact.
The biggest feature is that the floor space has been reduced to less than half compared to those of the company's equivalent conventional machines.
The injection mechanism is of an in-line screw system with a rotating ram. Adopting our company's idea of single-purpose machines for connectors, this machine is equipped with the nozzle and screw originally designed. This machine demonstrates effects on stable plasticization, kneading, color changing and material changing. In addition, it has excellent features of low moment of inertia and low noise. Moreover, it is capable to mold from general purpose resins to high functional polymers such as engineering plastics. Especially, it proves effective results in the precision, stable, and high-cycle molding of small-sized products of around less than five grams made of LCP (liquid crystal polymers), PA66 (polyamide) and PPS (polyphenylenesulfide).
The mold clamping mechanism is of a direct pressure type, and a linear guide is used for its die plate portion. It ensures to obtain uniform mold pressure due to the stable mold opening/closing workings with a definite mold clamping force.
Further, it materializes precision stable molding with high precision of low pressure mold clamping. Moreover, it maintains mechanical precision over a long period.
The machine is equipped with a dedicated controller, "NC21," which is of a slide system with a liquid crystal display of 5.7 inches provided with a touch panel that is easy to set up. The features are: (1)Internal memory of 15 molding conditions. (2)Digital set-up of mold position, injection speed and pressure control. (3)Remote temperature control of a heating cylinder. In addition, the machine has been upgraded newly by means of the improvement of operability and functions such as a monitoring function, a distinguishing function of the quality of products and outside installing of a selector switch.
Furthermore, this molding machine can be loaded with the mold monitoring equipment as an option for which "infrared rays" are used for the first time in the industry. As the strong points of this equipment, unlike existing types, high precision monitoring can be conducted without being affected by disturbance light. Also it makes possible to detect faults including black-colored products, being not influenced by color.
