The opening of "The Shanghai Nissei School"

Nissei Plastic (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary in China of Nissei Plastic Industrial Co., Ltd., for the purpose of educating human resources of Japanese and local companies, has begun a series of lectures of "The Shanghai Nissei School" which is a technical skill training institution for acquiring all skill and knowledge concerning injection molding.
At present, for Japanese and local companies in China, the bringing up of molding technicians has become the most urgent task, and Nissei is receiving many requests for customer education, therefore, from the latter half of last year, Nissei, which regards China as a future important market, has begun a series of lectures of "The Shanghai Nissei School" intended for local customers, at the training center of the subsidiary, aiming to bring up human resources, improve the quality of molding technology, and utilize molding machines safely and effectively.
Last year, it opened the molding course twice and acquired a good reputation among customers. This year, in response to customers' strong requests though it is an irregular procedure, Nissei is giving lectures on a regular basis from March.
The schedules of a total of five times in the days ahead are as follows: Three times for the molding course (fixed number of 10 people); from August 10 through 12, from October 19 through 21, and from December 14 through 16. Two times for the maintenance course (fixed number of 10 people); from September 14 through 16, and from November 16 through 18.
The contents of training at the school: the purpose for the molding course is to acquire fundamental knowledge of electric and hydraulic molding machines, and molding in general. The purpose for the maintenance course is explanations for the outline of electric and hydraulic molding machines, and circuits of every kind, and to acquire the maintenance administration. Chinese staffs are serving as lecturers for both of the courses, and practical training for molding is being conducted using electric and hydraulic molding machines.
The tuition fee is RMB 1,800 per person for both courses.
The Nissei School was established in the headquarters in 1968 as a specialized educational institution for the plastic injection molding technology field. Since then, the school has produced many graduates from the molded product manufacturing industry, material makers, trading companies, students, overseas trainees and foreign students in Japan.
The number of cumulative total of graduates until the end of March 2005 is 31,700 people (the school in the headquarters only).
At present, the curriculum which copes with the technical innovations in injection molding is highly evaluated as a specialized institute to bring up experts in the plastics injection molding field, and also it is firmly established in the industry.
The overseas Nissei School is regularly opened at present in America and Singapore.
