Nissei's Subsidiary in Hong Kong Establishes Local Corporation in Shen Zhen, China
"Nissei Plastic (Hong Kong) Ltd.," a subsidiary of Nissei Plastic Industrial Co., Ltd. in Hong Kong, has recently established a 100% owned subsidiary, "Nissei Plastic (Shen Zhen) Ltd." in Shen Zhen, China, as a business support base centered on Guangdong, Province, China. It will held an opening ceremony in November 24 and started for business on the 25th. At present, a large number of foreign-affiliated companies, such as Japan-affiliated, Taiwan-affiliated and Hong Kong-affiliated companies have advanced into Guangdong Province. It is anticipated that the market scale of the region will increasingly expand in the future. In the Nissei's system, the subsidiary in Hong Kong has been covering Guangdong Province, but in order to establish a business/technology support system which provides more meticulous service to customers, and to make business practice more efficient, the company recently decided to inaugurate an office provided with a technical center in the City of Shen Zhen. "Nissei Plastic (Shen Zhen) Ltd." consists of six Japanese who concurrently work for Nissei Hong Kong and nine local staff. It is located at a distance of ten minutes by car from Shen Zhen Airport, one hour by ferry from Hong Kong, and ten minutes by car from the ferry port. The Shen Zhen local corporation uses the first and second floors of a nine-storied building in Bao An District of the City. The first floor is for the technical center and the second floor is intended for an office and a conference room. At the technical center on the first floor, our company's three main molding machines with a clamping force of 40-180 tons are permanently installed. The center is utilized for molding test in the presence of customers using their own molds, evaluation test of molded products, in addition, molding guidance and training sessions. Further, Nissei Plastic had established the first technical center in the industry at the headquarters in 1979. At present, it has five technical centers in Japan, four overseas technical centers in the U.S. and one each in Singapore, Shanghai and Thailand.
