Nissei exihibits latest four injection molding machines at Chinaplas 2008
| February 2008 [News Release] |
Nissei Plastic Industrial Co., Ltd. will exhibit four models of hybrid type injection molding machines equipped with the X-pump, which have combined the merits of electric and hydraulic machines, under the theme "X-pump system opens the door to the world of new molding" at "Chinaplas 2008" to be held in Shanghai, China from April 17 to 20.
The four models to be exhibited are as follows:
(1) "ANX80-9A" with the clamping force of 80 tons
The machine has been developed for the China and ASEAN markets in pursuit of excellent cost performance, while maintaining the basic functions of the FNX, one of our main machines. Adoption of the original hybrid control technology and the new controller ensures high performance that permits precision stable molding, carving the functions to the required minimum. Two-set molding of laboratory dishes will be demonstrated at the hall.
(2) "PNX40-2A" with the clamping force of 40 tons
The PNX Series model has been changed when two years passed after the machines were put on the market. The control mechanism developed newly to ensure stable mold opening and closing, as well as the molding support software and the like, has been added to substantially improve the functions. As an example of precision stable molding of long connectors, in which electric molding machines are considered to be superior, two-cavity molding of 120-pole connectors will be demonstrated at the hall.
(3) "NPX7-1F" with the clamping force of 7 tons
A compact hybrid machine has been developed for precision molding of small products, which NISSEI excels at. The field of micro molding is expected to develop also in China in future, and 4-cavity molding of sealed pieces will be demonstrated at the hall.
(NISSEI machines with the clamping force of 1-19 tons has a share of more than 40% in the Japanese market.)
(4) "TNX75R9V" with the clamping force of 75 tons
This is a vertical machine equipped with the X-pump, which is suitable for insert molding of automobiles and office automation equipment.
Pocket mirrors will be molded at the hall.
The greatest characteristics of NISSEI hybrid-type molding machines is the "hybrid X-pump system" equipped with the innovative X-pump. Unlike the general hybrid systems materialized by combining the servomotor driving technology and hydraulic driving technology for the driving source of molding machines, this "hybrid X-pump system" is a NISSEI original developed to drive the motor only when necessary (stopping the servomotor when unnecessary) by controlling the speed of the servomotor.
According to the result, the power consumption can be reduced by approx. 55% comparing with other NISSEI hydraulic machines. Furthermore, substantial improvement of the energy efficiency as compared with conventional hydraulic machines permits control of temperature rise of hydraulic fluid, as well as reduction in cooling water consumption. As a result, it is possible to reduce the equipment expenses for a cooling tower or some other cooling water facilities and the administration expenses thereof.
In addition to the above, the following functions have been improved:
| 1. |
The injection start-up time is as short as that of electric molding machines. |
| 2. |
Full-closed injection velocity control has been adopted to ensure stable control within the extra slow velocity range at the rate of 1 mm/sec, as well as to ensure the injection velocity of 550 mm/sec. (PNX40-2A) |
| 3. |
Servomotor driving permits low-noise operation equivalent to the noise level of electric machines. |
| 4. |
The price is lower than that of electric molding machines. |
Furthermore, the direct-pressure mold clamping mechanism has been adopted in the same way as the hydraulic FN (PN) Series that has the sales track record of 10,000 units.
The main characteristics are as follows:
| 1. |
Uniform transmission of correct clamping force to molds |
| 2. |
Easy setting of low (appropriate) clamping force, which is effective in energy saving, extension of the life of molding machines and molds, and prevention of such defects as gas leakage and short-shots. |
| 3. |
Long-term maintain of parallelism of mold clamping mechanism |
| 4. |
Effective molding with thick molds (deep well, hot runner, and sleep plate) |
| 5. |
Shortening of mold change time for manufacture of a variety of products in small quantities. |
Nissei's booth is E4L21.
