NISSEI Established a Sales and Service Office in the Production Subsidiary in China

Nissei Plastic Industrial Co., Ltd. established a "NISSEI PLASTIC (SHANGHAI) CO., LTD. TAICANG BRANCH", which will function as a sales and service office, in its production subsidiary "NISSEI PLASTIC MACHINERY (TAICANG) CO., LTD." in China. Operation is set to begin from March 1st, 2010.
Currently, NISSEI runs three facilities near Shanghai area: sales subsidiary "NISSEI PLASTIC (SHANGHAI) CO., LTD." in Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone, its Shanghai branch in Shanghai urban area, and production subsidiary "NISSEI PLASTIC MACHINERY (TAICANG) CO., LTD." in Taicang, which was established last year.
The purpose of opening this Taicang branch is to provide better efficiency and availability for sales and customer support in Shanghai area. NISSEI is transferring staff and all its functions from the Shanghai branch to the new Taicang branch as well as the technical center for customer support, training school, and parts warehouse from the headquarters "NISSEI PLASTIC (SHANGHAI) CO., LTD." to begin operation in March. Accordingly, the Shanghai branch will be closed.
The Taicang branch will be opened within the premise of Taicang production subsidiary. The technical center, classroom, and parts warehouse are located on the 1st floor, and the office is on the 2nd floor.

"NISSEI PLASTIC MACHINERY (TAICANG) CO., LTD." was established in July 2009 and started full-scale operation in December. Currently, the electric type small general purpose injection molding machines NEX50-5E (50 ton clamping force) are assembled and final-inspected in the facility. As of this January end, they have 30 employees, and the production capacity is 15 machines per month. NISSEI is planning to increase the production capacity to 25 machines per month by the end of this year (300 machines annually) and aiming to produce 50 machines per month (600 machines annually) in 2011. It is also scheduled to expand the range of productions up to 180 ton machines in the future.
In addition, a parts supply staff has been stationed there from January of this year, improving parts availability in China as well as promoting procurement of parts and units for Japan domestic machines.
