Nissei develops package software for a quality and production control system in a molding plant

As a molding support tool that ensures the improvement and the efficiency-raising of productivity in a molding plant, Nissei Plastic Industrial Co., Ltd. has recently developed package software, the "PQ Manager," for a quality and production control system which automatically collects various types of data regarding injection molding machines such as production information, the operation status and quality information. The company will start receiving orders in October of this year.
Nissei will exhibit this system at the "K2004" to be held from October 20 in Dusseldorf, Germany, and demonstrate it in combination with the molding machines exhibited.
The "PQ Manager" is installed in a Window personal computer and connected with an injection molding machine in a plant through LAN (Local Area Network). Ensuring the real-time monitoring and analyzing of various data such as quality control of molded products, production control and operation conditions of molding machines, it is useful in controlling quality information about molded products and improving the productivity of a plant. The "PQ Manager" is a low-cost quality and production control system.
The system has integrated conventional "NC-NET PQ (quality and production control system)," "NC-NET PM (centralized production monitoring system)," and "IQ Plus (quality analysis software)," moreover it is the package software of which functions are upgraded for the molding machines loaded with the company's most up-to-date dedicated controller "TACT," aiming for commonality of various types of data. By this means, it becomes capable of corresponding to various applications such as a group control system function (up to 30 machines) of quality and production information on plural molding machines including other companies' machines, and quality analysis of products molded by one molding machine, which are requested by many customers.

By connecting a personal computer with plural electric and hydraulic injection molding machines (*) through LAN, a centralized control system can be established for quality confirmation of a molding machine, production control and operation conditions.
(*) The machines are mounted with our company's electronic controller, TACT, NC9300, NC9000 and NC21. |

It is capable of centralized monitoring of injection molding machines on which our company's electronic controllers (including NC8000) are mounted, and in addition, of other companies' molding machines. (But only for a production monitoring function) |

It is equipped with an E-mail transmission function and a monitoring function from a remote place by a Web site. |

It is enriched with injection and metering wave-shapes and monitor data analysis. |
Moreover, as a quality analysis system of products molded by a molding machine mounted with TACT, by connecting a personal computer with the machine through one LAN cable, it is capable of freely analyzing injection and metering wave-shapes at every shot and the transition of monitor data in conjunction with changes of molding conditions and error events.
Functions of the system are: (1) Monitoring of the molding machine operation status. (2) Production control. (3) Molding monitoring analysis. (4) Analysis of injection and metering wave-shapes. (5) Molding condition control. (6) Event history control. (7) E-mail transmission. (8) Web site monitoring. (9) Mold maintenance control.
Especially, E-mail transmission of (7) and Web site monitoring of (8) have been added due to the firm establishment of cellular telephones and Internet, and have improved user-friendliness of the system all the more.
