Opening local subsidiary in Shanghai to strengthen business in China
Nissei Plastic Industrial Co., Ltd. has established a local corporation "NISSEI PLASTIC (SHANGHAI) CO., LTD.", in Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone in Shanghai, which is 100% capitalized by parent company who had been preparing for opening its subsidiary in China to reinforce businesses and services in this region. They held opening ceremony on 18th November and have started regular operation. The opening ceremony was attended by the president of the parent company and 20 company-related people, 150 guests from local companies as well as Japanese, Taiwanese and Singaporean companies. Prior to the opening ceremony, participants were guided to the tour in the facilities of this new corporation. Beside the office building, it has stock center where injection molding machines and its parts are stocked. On the quick delivery system for the molding machine and quick after service will be provided in this region where most of the users are Japanese companies and its objective is to provide the same high quality services as they do to the Japanese domestic market. At the same time, the center will be used as display and technical training center to promote the penetration of Nissei products and increase the share of the market. The company has already had local subsidiaries such as NISSEI PLASTIC (HONG KONG) LTD., NISSEI PLASTIC INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD. (SHANGHAI REPRESENTATIVE OFFICE) and SHENZHEN LIAISON OFFICE, hence, this newest local corporation in Shanghai will be the fourth in China. Besides these offices, it has local companies who consign services in Tianjin and Dalian. By having these local corporations, business operation in eastern China will be covered by the Shanghai corporation as well as the representative office and southern area will be covered by Hong Kong local corporation and Shenzhen liaison office, and northern part will be covered by local companies, so that attentive sales and service network will be established in China. At the present, Nissei's total sales volume to China accounts for 50% (per month) of entire product volume to be exported to the world. Incidentally, the local corporation in Shanghai is the ninth of existing Nissei local corporations in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia (subsidiary for Singapore's), Thailand, U.S.A., Mexico and Europe (Belgium).
